Everlasting Daisy, also called Paper Daisy or Strawflower after its large papery flowers, is a short-lived perennial shrub native to Australia. I grow a range of colours of Xerochrysum bracteatum ( syn. Bracteantha).
 
The long-lasting flowers can be dried,as the papery bracts last indefinitely, and the dried flower holds its colour beautifully.
